About the Opportunity

We’re excited to welcome a new Production Shift Manager (Afternoon Shift 2pm–10pm) to our Yatala Manufacturing Site -where we manufacture Australia's tastiest pet foods including fresh VIP, Trilogy, Ivory Coat and Natures Gift!

Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll lead your shift with energy and purpose—building a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability while ensuring consistent delivery of quality products in a highly efficient manner.

In this role you will be part of a fun and fast-paced environment with a team that is down to earth and who enjoy good banter!

Yatala is one of the largest fresh pet food manufacturing sites in the world, and is where we process raw protein for our fresh pet food. It is known as a 'wet' site, so you will need to be comfortable working on a site that processes meat and short-shelf-life products.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and coach your team to deliver production targets safely and efficiently
• Manage performance, training, and development to build a high-performing, multi-skilled workforce
• Foster a positive, open, and collaborative culture across shifts and departments.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety standards and company policies.
• Partner with supervisors on rostering, planning, and operational priorities to maximise productivity.
• Support and mentor your team—creating clear succession plans and development pathways.

About You

You’re an experienced production or line leader with FMCG or food manufacturing experience. You’re known for your calm leadership style, your ability to manage people performance effectively, and your knack for getting the best out of your team.

You’ll also bring:

• Proven experience leading teams in a manufacturing or processing environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, especially under pressure.
• A passion for building capability and driving continuous improvement.
• Great communication skills and a focus on collaboration and accountability.
