We are excited to welcome 3 Qualified Electricians to the Real Pet Food team based in Dubbo. Working in our Maintenance team you will be responsible for the provision of preventative and corrective electrical maintenance as part of the factory maintenance schedule. 

Our Dubbo Site manufactures market leading dry pet food for popular brands such as Nature's Gift, Ivory Coat and Farmers Market. (And if you have pets you get access to discounted pet food!)

We have several shifts available (with overtime when required). When applying please indicate which shift you are interested in (you can select all - shifts may vary depending on business needs)

Monday - Friday 6:55am - 3pm

Monday - Friday 2:55pm - 11pm

Monday -Friday 10:55pm to 7am

Sunday & Monday 6:55am - 3pm

Sunday-Thursday 2:55pm to 11pm

What You’ll Be Doing

• Carrying out hands-on repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, componentry and instrumentation, following all safety and food safety standards 

• Managing both unplanned breakdown work and planned maintenance across the site.
• Acting as the first point of contact for electrical issues raised by Operations, Safety, Quality and Engineering teams.
• Escalating issues promptly when additional expertise or support is required, in line with RPF’s Escalation Protocols.
• Completing assigned work orders and assessing any required materials or additional labour for future tasks.
• Conducting investigations across electrical, control, automation and infrastructure systems, and reporting any hazards, incidents or near misses immediately.

What Will Help You Succeed

• Proven experience in a similar role—ideally in food production, FMCG or manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills and sound judgment, particularly around safety decisions and escalation.
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a cross-functional environment.
• Confident with computers and able to quickly learn our CMMS system.
• Experience managing spare parts or inventory (advantageous).
• Flexibility to pitch in across all maintenance tasks, even when they extend beyond electrical.
• A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a desire to make a genuine difference.
• Essential: Certified Electrical Trades qualification (proof required).
• And of course… a passion for pets!
