High Impact Role - Make your Mark!
At Real Pet Food Co., we produce high-quality nutrition for pets across Australia and international markets. Our Ingleburn site is a fast-paced wet manufacturing environment, where reliability, safety, and strong maintenance practices are critical to keeping production moving.
We are looking for a resilient, organised and hands-on Maintenance Stores Procurement Officer to help bring structure, discipline and improvement to our engineering stores and procurement processes.
This is not a “business as usual” role — it’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys a challenge and takes pride in building order, improving systems, and making a visible impact on site performance.
About the Role
The Maintenance Stores Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating the timely procurement and delivery of manufacturing spare parts and equipment components to support planned and reactive maintenance activities.
You will play a critical role in improving equipment uptime by ensuring the right parts are available at the right time, while restoring strong inventory control and financial compliance across the maintenance stores.
This role will suit someone who thrives in an environment where there is a backlog to work through, processes to rebuild, and standards to re-establish.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate procurement and delivery of spare parts and maintenance materials. This includes obtaining quotes to obtain competitive prices.
Manage and organise the engineering stores to improve accessibility, accuracy and efficiency. There is a significant administrative component with this role that we anticipate will ease once our backlog is addressed
Drive inventory discipline, compliance and 5S initiatives within the stores - this means your maintenance team knows they can't just 'come and get a part off the shelf'. You know that maintaining inventory levels requires adherence to processes, and you can share the need for this with your team.
Establish and maintain accurate inventory within CMMS (MEX)
Support maintenance planning through accurate Bill of Materials availability
Execute cycle counts, inventory reconciliation and valuation reporting (daily, weekly and monthly)
Coordinate annual stocktakes and ensure financial compliance requirements are met
Enforce P2P, Group Engineering and Procurement policies and procedures
Manage invoicing and purchasing workflows in QAD to ensure timely and accurate processing
Partner closely with Maintenance, Engineering and Finance teams to improve processes and performance
About You
You are practical, structured and resilient — someone who enjoys fixing problems and creating order where it’s needed most. You can roll your sleeves up to get work done but can also keep in mind what needs to be done to lay the foundation of a Maintenance Store that is run efficiently and effectively.
You will bring:
Proven experience managing maintenance stores or spare parts procurement within a fast-paced manufacturing environment (parts could be $2 or $2K)
Strong understanding of engineering spare parts, maintenance workflows and plant requirements
Experience working in fast-paced FMCG, food, or heavy manufacturing environments
Experience using MEX
Strong inventory control and procurement discipline with QAD System Experience
Confidence enforcing processes, compliance and purchasing governance
High attention to detail across inventory, invoicing and reporting
A proactive mindset and the resilience to work through legacy backlog issues
Why Join Us?
A role where you can genuinely make your mark and improve how the site operates
Be part of a hands-on maintenance team in a critical manufacturing environment
Opportunity to rebuild systems and leave a lasting operational legacy
Collaborative site culture focused on safety, reliability and continuous improvement
If you enjoy turning chaos into structure, building sustainable processes, and being a trusted part of a maintenance team — we’d love to hear from you.
