The Opportunity

We are excited to welcome the newest member of our Operations team to our Dubbo Site. This site is known as a 'dry' site, and is where we manufacture our #1 Grain Free Kibble Brand "Ivory Coat" and other ambient products.

We are looking for a mechanically-minded and safety-aware machine operator to work Monday to Friday, 6.55am-3.00pm on our Extruder Machine. We have a competitive Enterprise Agreement and if you are required to work overtime you will receive penalty rates.


What you’ll do

• Operation of extrusion & further processing equipment
• Read & follow product specifications to produce high quality product to company standards
• Perform quality testing to product specifications
• Ensure the safe unloading of liquid materials in tank farm
• Cleaning & set up of extrusion line between work orders
• Scheduled cleaning tasks attended daily and as required
• Monitor & record all production data
• Filling in of all production paperwork thoroughly & in a timely manner
• Forklift operations

What will help you succeed

The right candidate will possess the following:

• Ability to work as part of a team and equally as well working independently.
• Great attention to quality and safety
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Attention to detail, and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Able to perform all tasks as assigned.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple tasks.
• Mechanically minded and the ability to adapt this knowledge to the position.

Relevant Experience

• MUST HAVE FORKLIFT LICENSE

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in Extrusion & Forklift operation within a similar industry, but this is not essential. This experience will be supported by some product knowledge coupled with maturity and a common-sense approach to process work. Experience will also be gained from on-the-job training.
