As a result of an internal promotion, Real Pet Food are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Receiving Supervisor to oversee all inbound operations within our busy YATALA warehouse.
This role is responsible for supervising the receipt, verification, and put-away of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in line with company standards. A valid forklift license is mandatory, and experience with QAD ERP systems and RF scanning systems is highly preferred, though not essential. You will be working with a team that enjoys good banter, enjoys working together and above all, believes in ensuring that the workplace is safe.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily receiving operations, including unloading, inspection, and put-away of inventory.
- Ensure all inbound shipments are received accurately, checked against delivery documentation, and properly recorded.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
- Utilize RF scan systems to ensure real-time inventory tracking and accuracy.
- Coordinate with procurement, quality, and inventory teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
- Train, develop, and lead a small team of receiving staff.
- Monitor KPI performance, suggest improvements, and implement best practices.
- Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counts and support stock reconciliation processes.
- Liaise with transport providers and warehouse team to coordinate unloading schedules.
- Use ERP systems (preferably QAD) to record receipts and update stock levels.
To be considered for this role you must have:
- A Valid forklift license – Mandatory (you will asked to upload a copy of your licence when applying)
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a supervisory or team leader role
- Familiarity with RF scan systems and inventory management tools
- Experience with ERP systems; QAD experience is an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead by example and foster a team-based culture
- Attention to detail and commitment to process accuracy
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
You will hit the ground running if you have:
- Experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
- Knowledge of inventory control principles
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and warehouse management systems
