We are on the lookout for a talented and passionate individual, to join our small team at Wulkuraka, and be a valued member of our team. Ideally, you’ll have experience working in a similar role in the meat industry.
This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the Production Manager, this role would suit a self-motivated and hands on individual with a passion for quality and improvement.
You will work as part of the Supervisory and Quality team to coordinate and facilitate effective site activities relating to quality to ensure the factory is operating to the highest standard in line with business goals and objectives.
Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
- Providing assistance, guidance, and coaching support as needed to train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
- Implement standard operating procedures for production and quality operations
- Monitor and maintain quality standards of products and processes
- Implement and enforce Health and Safety policies to meet the objectives
- Implement and enforce quality control to meet quality objectives
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution, and management
The right person for this role will have:
- A passion for safety, quality, and production
- Minimum of Cert IV in Meat Processing or equivalent
- Knowledge of GMP/HACCP
- Technical understanding of Production, Quality and Food Safety
- Proven experience working in production or quality within the meat industry or a similar environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders
- Intermediate computer literacy – Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to demonstrate effective teamwork skills and also work independently using your own initiative
