The Opportunity
This isn’t your typical Account Manager role
We are excited to welcome a passionate and driven Account Manager to join our Pet Specialty team based at our Crows Nest Head Office. In this business-critical role, you will be broadly responsible for managing and growing our distributors and select key accounts, driving sales, and fostering strong relationships with our customers. The role works very closely with our field team, to implement our field strategy. It’s the perfect role to hone your skills before stepping into a National Account Manager or National Field Manager role.
You'll be joining a high-performing team of experienced professionals from blue-chip FMCG backgrounds who are genuine, passionate, and hardworking. They take pride in fostering a positive work culture, supporting each other, and developing talent to drive both personal and business growth. You’ll report directly into the National Business Manager and will own your own accounts, with plenty of support, giving you lots of scope and exposure to build your own profile.
Who are you?
- You may be coming from a Sales Executive/Coordination role within a fast-paced FMCG and want to develop your career in Sales.
- You could be a Field Manager, looking to move into a role with more focus on account management
- You may be in or have finished your stint in a Graduate Program in a large FMCG and are ready to take the next step with a focus on developing your career in Sales.
- Or you may be an experienced Key Account Manager wanting to step into FMCG.
The key attributes we are looking for come down to you having a passion for sales and a desire to develop your career.
Some of the key responsibilities in this role include:
- Manage selected accounts within the Pet Specialty channel, with a clear growth roadmap leveraging our product range
- Management of sales and profitability performance of your key accounts ensuring all key targets are met
- Customer administration requirements including claims management & processing using our software Blueshift
- Lead forecasting and spend management including sales analysis tools such as PowerBI
- Present new products and manage customer meetings
- Liaise with internal field team to support execution of customer plans
- Manage promotional tracking and ROI analysis

- Excellent communication and demonstrated problem-solving capability
- Financial acumen to understand forecast and budget as context for managing performance
- An entrepreneurial approach and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- A curious and analytical mindset, able to draw insights from data
- Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity with an appetite to grow and develop in a fast-growing organisation
- A personable individual with the ability to build strong relationships, not only with customers but understanding the value of working as a pack.
